This Privacy Policy explains how Bayon TV ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application ("App") on Android and iOS devices. By using the App, you agree to this policy.


1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and profile picture when you register or update your profile.
  • Payment Information: Subscription and payment details processed through ABA PayWay. We do not store your full card details — these are handled directly by ABA Bank.
  • Profile Data: Watching profiles, PIN settings, and content preferences you create within the App.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Content you watch, search queries, continue-watching history, watchlist, and rental history.
  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, language, and time zone.
  • Advertising Identifiers: On iOS, we collect the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) — with your permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt. On Android, we collect the Google Advertising ID (AAID). These are used to serve personalized advertisements via Google AdMob.
  • Crash and Performance Data: Crash logs, error reports, and app performance data collected automatically in release builds.
  • Push Notification Token: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver push notifications to your device.
  • Network Information: Wi-Fi or mobile network status used to optimize streaming quality.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Sign-In

If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those services, subject to the permissions you grant.


2. How We Use Your Information

  • Create and manage your account and watching profiles.
  • Stream, recommend, and personalize video content.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription or rental history.
  • Send service notifications, security alerts, and promotional messages (you may opt out at any time).
  • Deliver personalized and non-personalized advertisements.
  • Analyze app usage to improve features and user experience.
  • Detect fraud, unauthorized access, and security threats.
  • Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.

5. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the App. AdMob may use advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) to show you personalized ads based on your interests.

  • iOS: We request your permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before accessing your IDFA. You may deny this permission and still use the App — you will receive non-personalized ads instead.
  • Android: You can opt out of personalized ads at any time in your device settings under Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID.

AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.


6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Third-party vendors listed in Section 4 who process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government authority.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.
  • Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Bayon TV, our users, or the public.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services. Specifically:

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
  • Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations.
  • Crash logs and analytics: Retained for up to 90 days.
  • Push notification tokens: Retained until you uninstall the App or disable notifications.

After account deletion, we will erase or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.


8. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete data via your account settings.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us.
  • Withdraw Consent: Revoke consent for tracking at any time via your device settings (ATT on iOS, Ads settings on Android).

9. Data Deletion Request

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, you may:

  • Use the in-app account deletion feature under Settings > Account, or

We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion by email.


10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. 11. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • AES-256 encryption for locally stored sensitive data.
  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between the App and our servers.
  • Secure credential storage using Android Keystore and iOS Keychain.
  • Access controls limiting who within our organization can access personal data.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to using best practices to protect your information.


12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside Cambodia, including in the United States (Google Firebase, AdMob) and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to such transfers. We ensure that any transfer complies with applicable data protection laws.


13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
